At Families United, we believe in empowering families and professionals with the knowledge and tools they need to navigate the developmental services system effectively. Our training and education programs are designed to provide clear, actionable guidance for individuals and families, as well as service providers, who support children and adults with developmental disabilities.

What We Offer:

1. IEP Support & Workshops
   Our specialized workshops and one-on-one sessions help families understand and navigate the Individualized Education Program (IEP) process. We provide tips, strategies, and advocacy tools to ensure that children receive the educational support they need.

2. Early Intervention Education
   We offer training to help parents and caregivers understand early intervention services and the importance of timely developmental screenings. This education empowers families to recognize signs of developmental delays and seek services as early as possible.

3. Developmental Services Navigation
   Our navigation services training is aimed at both families and professionals, helping them understand how to access and utilize the resources available through regional centers, schools, and healthcare systems. This includes how to advocate for services and ensure equity in care.

4. Cultural Competency in Developmental Services
   Our cultural competency trainings are designed for professionals to enhance their understanding of working with diverse populations. We focus on providing services that are inclusive, respectful, and culturally responsive to the unique needs of marginalized communities.

5. Family Empowerment & Advocacy
   We equip families with the knowledge to advocate for their loved ones throughout the lifespan. This includes understanding rights, services, and the pathways available for accessing ongoing support.
